Rule 2nd-5th grade elementary students traveled to Castaway Cove on May 27th. We had 31 students who earned their AR goal earning this awesome trip. 2nd grade had to reach 60 AR points, 3rd grade had to reach 65 AR points, 4th grade had to reach 65 AR points, and 5th grade had to reach 70 points. We are proud of all their reading accomplishments! It was a great day with no flooding and lots of sunshine. The students said it was so worth it reading all those books to meet their goals! Ten Rule First graders earned 50 AR points and the AR trip to Abilene. The first stop was the NCCIL (National Center for Childrens's Illustrated Literature) in downtown Abilene where students viewed the art work of the Marla Frazee. Rule ISD 5th grade students enjoyed a trip to Abilene Zoo on Friday, May 15. We rode the Safari Express Train around the zoo and learned many interesting facts about the animals and their habitats. The students next enjoyed a Scavenger Hunt looking for various types of animals as they visited all the exhibits.
